Lee Student Council Celebrates “Socktober”

$Lee Student Council members show a few of the socks collected during \"Socktober.\"$

Lee Elementary student council conducted a sock drive throughout the school collecting 568 pairs of socks to donate to homeless shelters in Barry County. Students learned one of the most requested items at homeless shelters are socks and decided to create their “Socktober” schoolwide event. Thanks to the donations, many people in need will have warm feet this winter.
