Meet Mrs. Woods
I completed my undergraduate studies at MSU and am a HUGE Spartan fan! I earned my masters in Early Childhood education at Grand Valley State University. This is my twenty-seventh year at Thornapple – Kellogg. I have spent nineteen years teaching second grade and eight years teaching third grade at Lee.
I live on Gun Lake with my husband, Jim. He is a civil engineer with OHM out of Battle Creek. My three children are my pride and joy. Owen is 17 and will be a senior this year at TKHS. Yes, we have been visiting colleges all summer. Carson and Grant are fifteen year old identical twin boys who will be sophomores. My boys play soccer and golf. All three boys love the outdoors. We spend a lot of time swimming and tubing, riding bikes, or playing tennis, golf, and soccer. You will often find me at the fields watching or helping out with soccer. I am on the TASC board and help organize the TKHS Boys soccer team.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, camping, reading, lake activities, and working in my flower garden. I love camping and spent one week in Manistee at Orchard Beach State Park and two weeks in Pentwater. You can see my family loves to be active and outside. When at home, we can be found tubing, wake-boarding, and swimming in Gun Lake.
